I'm trying to make a difference and get things done, focusing on young adults & especially young adults who get neglected once treatment has ended. Sometimes it's harder living after cancer than during. I was not prepared for the myriad of complications following treatment and there needs to be more resources for survivor's. Cancer needs to be treated as a chronic illness and as much as I want to believe there will be a cure, I feel that the big pharma & insurance companies won't let that happen. All of us know (or should know) that the money is not in the cure, but being in the health care system for the rest of our lives, if not physically, mentally.
