New Feature: Newsfeed!
January 25th, 2012
We have wonderful news! Really, we do!

The long anticipated Newsfeed feature is finally here and ready to help you mingle. Now, you can easily keep track of your Circle’s status updates, Discussions, Journals and Dear Cancer posts. Since it is all in one place, you no longer have to track each individual in your circle.

So here's what you can do:

Status Updates - Most of you probably have experience with Facebook, which means you are familiar with status updates (small blurb about what you’re thinking or what’s going on in your life). Now you can share what’s on your mind with others through the Newsfeed on your Profile. When you open the page, the first thing you can do is update your status and loop your friends in what’s going on in your life.

Discussions - When someone in your Circle posts a new Discussion or participates in one, it will show up on your Newsfeed, making participating in Discussions with your friends easier than ever before.

Journals - When you are connected to more than a few individuals, keeping track of everyone’s progress is hard; we understand that. Through the Newsfeed, you can easily check for updates on new Journal posts from the people in your Circle.

Dear Cancer - Sometimes you just want to get something off your chest and address cancer directly. Getting feedback from friends can be a great support at time like this. With the Newsfeed you can easily see who has posted on Dear Cancer and support your friends right then and there.

Favorites - We understand that life is hectic, and you can’t be on I Had Cancer all day every day. Now, if you see a Discussions question that you want to follow, or a friend's Story/Journal post that you want to revisit, you can just click on the stars to the right of your Circle Newsfeed updates to add them to your Favorites. Once they turn yellow, you’ll be able to find them by clicking “My Favorites.” Yep, it’s that easy!

We hope that you enjoy the new feature and use it often. Let us know what you think!
