I am a Survivor

I am a single mom of a now 18 year old son. I was diagnosed November 27, 2013 with stage 1A DCIS. Family history, genetic testing and my own health history guided my treatment. On January 6, 2014 I underwent a double mastectomy and complete reconstruction. I started chemo on February 10, 2014 and continued weekly treatments for 18 months. I have been cancer free for three years this month. Early detection saved my life. Feel your boobs!
