I am a Survivor

I was diagnosed January 11th, 2017 with intraductal carcinoma in my right breast. After pathology, tumor was confirmed as triple negative.
My fight began January 30 with medicine dense chemo treatments. Eight treatments in all within 16 weeks. Completed chemotherapy May 1st with outstanding results.
Genetic testing during chemo proved that I carry the mutated BRCA1 gene.
Double mastectomy and reconstruction May 31st. After 9 weeks post surgery, I am currently in transition returning to work.
